You’re a grown woman with lots of responsibilities.
When you go out with friends, it’s usually to dinner or
a movie, maybe for coffee or time at the beach. When was the last
time you had a good old-fashioned slumber party with
the girls?
Remember those hours of catching up, giggling, and dreaming? The
great food, the romantic movies, the nail painting?
Just because you’re older doesn’t mean you can’t
indulge in a little fun now and then--so choose your setting and
send out the invites (check out the design-your-own girl invites
at designhergals.com)!
English
Tea Party: Watch “Emma” as you sip tea from
your finest china and munch pastries from a local bakery. Add
a twist by dressing up in Victorian costumes and going out to
a Victorian-themed restaurant or tea house for dessert!
Reminiscence: Bring your photo albums and recall
your memories together, watch as many episodes of “Friends” as
you can muster, and ask everyone to bring a favorite food to share
from slumber parties past.
Rockin’ to
the Eighties: Get dressed up in your best eighties attire
and crimp each other’s hair while you watch “Sixteen
Candles” and then rock out to your favorite 80’s
tunes!
Southern Style: Don your western rompers and
chow down on comfort foods like fried chicken and coleslaw while
enjoying “Sweet Home Alabama.” Maybe afterwards you
can all learn a little line dancing!
Whatever
you choose to do the night of your girl party, be sure to have
fun!
There’s nothing like a little time with your friends to
lift the spirits and make you feel like a kid again! |
